We are delighted to announce the addition of four new members to the Centre ARThrite-UL đź’ˇ
Manon Defaye – Ph.D. in Neurogastroenterology at the University of Clermont Auvergne (France) and postdoctoral training at the University of Calgary on the mechanisms of gastrointestinal pain; Her work aims to better understand the molecular mechanisms involved in the resolution of visceral pain.
Hugo Massé-Alarie – Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences at Université Laval and postdoctoral training at the University of Queensland; A physiotherapist by training, his research focuses on the influence of low back pain on the central nervous system and the effect of conventional (e.g., exercises) and emergent (e.g., neurostimulation) interventions on pain.
Manu Rangachari – PhD at the University of Toronto and postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School; his research explores T cell responses and immune checkpoints, as well as their role in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, including multiple sclerosis.
Melissa Simard – Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences at Université Laval, followed by two postdoctoral fellowships at Université Laval and Harvard Medical School. His work focuses on the mechanisms of inflammation. She is developing reconstructed human models to better understand the physiology and pathology of hematopoietic tissues.
