đź‘Ź A warm welcome to our new associate researchers at the ARThritis Center: Dr. Julie Couture and Dr. Philippe Desaulniers! We are fortunate to benefit from the expertise of these rheumatologists, which allows our center to expand our knowledge. đź©ş
🔎 Julie Couture – Pediatric rheumatologist at the CHUL. Dr. Couture earned her medical degree from Université Laval, followed by fellowships at Université Laval and McGill. After additional training in pediatric lupus at SickKids in Toronto, her research focuses on neonatal lupus, particularly the risk of autoimmune diseases in children who develop neonatal lupus.
🔎 Philippe Desaulniers – Rheumatologist at the CHUL. Dr. Desaulniers completed his master’s and doctorate in microbiology-immunology at Université Laval, CHUL, followed by an MBA in pharmaceutical management. He also earned his medical degree at Université Laval and is actively involved in recruiting patients with rheumatoid arthritis for the MRAS program.
