This prize is awarded to students, postdocs or residents affiliated to the ARThrite research center that had a manuscript published in a peer-reviewed journal, and archived on PubMed.
Amount: 500$
Admissibility criteria
- Two or more authors are researchers affiliated to ARThrite
- The ARThrite research center must be acknowledged
- The student is first or co-first author
- May be claimed up to 2 years after graduating
- The application must include:
- A 300-word text depicting the impact of the study on the current knowledge on rheumatic diseases
- The publication or the accepted version of the manuscript (in this case, include the acceptation letter)
- Two 250 character (spaces included) lay summaries, in French and/or English for external communication purposes
This prize is awarded to students, postdocs, or residents affiliated to the ARThrite research center for presenting his/her data to a congress about arthritis and/or rheumatic diseases. The event may be provincial, national, or international. The presentation may either be oral or a poster.
Amount: 300$ - 500$ - at the discretion of the Board, after evaluating each application by the end of the fiscal year.
Admissibility criteria
- The student is the first author of the abstract
- The ARThrite research center must be acknowledged
- The application must include:
- The abstract submitted and accepted for presentation at the event
- Mention of the type of presentation
- Miscellaneous information about the event (e.g., name, location)
- This prize can only be awarded once every year to a student
The Committee of Centre ARThrite-UL and distinguished members will present this honorary award to an exceptional research professional who has distinguished themselves through their outstanding and sustained commitment to training the next generation (students, trainees, or other highly qualified personnel), supporting their research team and Centre ARThrite-UL, as well as knowledge mobilization, transfer, and dissemination, and advancing knowledge.
The Emmanuelle Rollet-Labelle Award will be presented to an individual who has left a lasting mark on Centre ARThrite-UL and its members, not only through their remarkable scientific contributions, but also through their dedication to strengthening the Centre ARThrite-UL community and promoting its excellence. This distinction aims to honour the career of a research professional at Centre ARThrite-UL and to recognize and promote their essential role, while also having the potential to strengthen applications submitted to the FRQ for the Research Professionals Excellence Award.
Award amount: $1,000
To be eligible, the candidate must:
• Have a minimum of 15 years of experience as a research professional, including 5 years within Centre ARThrite-UL (research assistant experience gained during academic training cannot be counted);
• Not be enrolled as a full-time student or be a postdoctoral fellow;
• Not be a member of the university faculty (regular or grant-funded);
• Be currently active in their career or have retired less than one year ago;
• Not have reached the limit of two applications submitted for this award over the course of their career;
• Not have previously received this award.
The candidate must submit the following documents:
- A cover letter of no more than 2 pages, signed by the candidate.
- A CV (maximum 5 pages) covering their entire education and research career.
These documents must describe the candidate’s various contributions to training the next generation (students, trainees, or other highly qualified personnel), supporting their research team and Centre ARThrite-UL, as well as knowledge mobilization, transfer, and dissemination, and advancing knowledge. The quality and diversity of the contributions described in the applications constitute the criteria used to evaluate the submissions.
